Please include your order number, name, and details of the item(s) you wish to return.
1.3. Returning the Goods If you cancel your order, you must send the physical books back to us at 6 Lincoln Green Ct, Leeds LS9 7JB, United Kingdom without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.
1.4. Condition of Returned Items We expect books to be returned in their original, resalable condition. This means:
- Unused and undamaged.
- With any original packaging, dust jackets, or supplementary materials intact.
- We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you (i.e., handling them beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning, such as you would do in a physical shop).
1.5. Cost of Returning Items You will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the physical books to us, unless the item is faulty or was sent in error (see section 1.7).
1.6. Refunds for Physical Books If you cancel your order in accordance with this policy, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than:
- 14 days after the day we receive the returned goods from you, or
- (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, or
- If no goods were supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.
We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
1.7. Damaged or Faulty Physical Books If you receive a physical book that is damaged or faulty, please contact us immediately upon receipt (within 48 hours is ideal) at support@mapleshelf.uk with your order number and a description of the damage/fault, preferably with photographic evidence.
- We will arrange for a replacement or a full refund, including original shipping costs.
- We may also cover the cost of return shipping for damaged or faulty items, or arrange for collection.
2. No Refunds for eBooks (Digital Books)
Due to the digital nature of eBooks and the immediate access provided upon purchase, all sales of eBooks are final and non-refundable.
Please ensure you carefully check your order before purchasing and confirm that your device is compatible with the eBook format specified. We are unable to offer refunds or exchanges for eBooks unless there is a confirmed technical issue preventing access that we cannot resolve, or if the eBook is proven to be corrupt. In such rare cases, please contact us at support@mapleshelf.uk.
3. How to Initiate a Return (Summary)
